C'est la Sea....it is All About the Sea.


​St John is a spectacular island to explore with world class beaches, snorkeling, etc.  But a wonderful part of C’est la Sea is you can enjoy wonderful days without schlepping all the gear!


Below is our list of activities right at C’est La Sea. You can visit the water activity locker for different water toys, noodles, snorkels, ladderball… etc. In addition we have a bunch of games.

​​Swimming

That water is beautiful in Great Cruz Bay. The bottom is sandy, and just three steps away. 


Noodling!

Sit on a noodle, ride it like a horse and bob around forever.  Go on a tour!  

Noodle to the Westin – kind of fun… go have a drink at their pool bar, or lunch at their beach restaurant.

Snorkelling 

You can see every cool thing in the Caribbean right in front of the house.  We have seen rays, turtles, barracuda, lobster, crabs, just standing in the water! The water in Great Cruz Bay is sometimes a little cloudy because the sand from the Westin.  But when it is calm, it’s very clear. 

Kayaking

We make available two two-person kayaks.  We have life jackets, paddles, and lines to dock. We even have a small mooring ball so you can leave the kayaks in overnight.  Cruise the bay and go to some special snorkeling spots we can fill you in on.

Paddle boarding

C’est la Sea is partnered with Arawak Adventures, their owner is our neighbor, to have your paddleboards waiting for you on your arrival.  Great Cruz Bay is a PERFECT paddle boarding location. It is very flat and you can look down into the water and see everything all around you.  

Dinghy Rental

Cruz Bay Watersports is located at the Westin and they make available dinghy rentals. Receive a 10% discount when you tell them you are from C’est la Sea.

Day Charters

Cruz Bay Watersports offers a variety of charters from sunset happy hour trips to full day excursions to the BVIs.  Check them out at the Westin.  Receive a 10% discount when you tell them you are from C’est la Sea.

Jacuzzi

The six person hot tub is the place to be at sunset. Fabulous view of the lights of St. Thomas and the rest of Great Cruz Bay.

Indoor Pool

The pool is 7 feet deep with steps down to a sitting bench for enjoying a cocktail while others might be cooking. Best to walk down and stand or sit on the bench and go in from there.  The pool water is cooler that the ocean, typically around 84 F so a bit more refreshing.

Hammock Time

It’s likely you’ll go with a book or a plan to nap, but often you just end up staring at the view and getting mesmerized by the subtle activities of an interesting Caribbean harbor.  No matter how it turns out for you, the memory will call you back for your next visit.

Relax

There at 6 lounge chairs looking over the bay, with sun and shade. Enjoy a book, a drink or a nap here or at the conversation table with friends.

Outdoor shower

Enjoy the Outdoor shower when you come back from a day at the beach or a swim in the bay.    Rinse off your snorkel gear and be ready for the next day. You can use shampoo and soap in the outside shower…


Games

Enjoy a game of ladder ball on the patio in the shade of the Sea Grape or during your quiet evenings a card game or puzzle, if you are not exhausted from the sun and the rum or put to sleep by the wine at dinner!
